Provence is an international language institute with more than 35 years of experience in high quality training in French for adults.
The major part of our students learn French for professional reasons, but others are just attracted by our fantastic location in the heart of Provence ideal for discovering this beautiful region with its historical sites of great interest, its wines, food, craft and culture and its mild climate.
We are located in Aix-en-Provence, a town famous as " Ville d'Eaux - Ville d'Arts ". The hot springs of the town are of Roman origin. This picturesque spot in the heart of Provence is well known as the birthplace of the painter Paul Cézanne. Its particular light and scenic landscape have attracted many well-known painters. Its narrow lanes, fountains and markets still attract young and old, the French and foreigners.
Outside the town, too, there are numerous possibilities for exploring: historic places such as Arles, Avignon, Nîmes or the scenic beauties of the Camargue, the Luberon, the Bight of Verdon or Mont Sainte-Victoire. The beaches and coves of the Mediterranean coast are only half an hour away.
Our climate is very pleasant ; it is summer until October and the mild Autumn lasts until Christmas. Even winter is pleasantly mild. The provençal light is especially intense in January.
The school building is situated In a charming turn-of-the-century building facing a boulevard lined with magnificent plane trees on one side and lovely green gardens on the other. The town centre is a three minute walk away. The building has 15 classrooms, a Multimedia Ressources Centre for self-studies next to the sunny terrace, and an Internet room equipped with 5 computers + free wifi connection in the whole school.
